Welcome! I am an Atlanta based photographer and the owner of Jolie Loren Photography.
I specialize in unobtrusive lifestyle, event, family and music photography, as well as specialty portraits. I love capturing and sharing visual stories~ revealing the essence of people’s personalities, emotions, relationships and music through authentic, organic moments. Whether I’m working with families, artists/bands, or at weddings, corporate events, concerts, festivals, etc., I strive to always make each of my sessions, unique, personal, creative, fun… and at times random/funny/obscure is perfect for the moment.
I live right outside the city of Atlanta with my amazing Husband, Mike (better known just as: “Rizzi”) and our sweet, and way too smart rescue puppy, Ringo and our rescue kitty, Mila. Mike is a drummer/singer/song-writer for several bands/projects (John Driskell Hopkins (Zac Brown Band), Tony Lewis (The Outfield), The Sweet Tea Project (w/ Ed Roland- Collective Soul), Sonia Leigh & Mike Rizzi & The Strong Personalities). I’ve been very fortunate to work closely with all of these bands as well as many other artists in the music industry including The GRAMMYs, National Atlanta Chapter. I also have THE most awesome and beautiful "bonus-son" (his new term for step-Mom), Kaden. All three of these very special souls rock my world every day, with laughter, love and LOTS of fun.
I worked as a Professional High School Counselor for 15 years, and although I truly loved working with the kids and their families, I decided it was time to follow my other life-long passion, Photography. I've been obsessed with and taking pictures since the mid 80's when I lived overseas in Tokyo, Japan for 3 1/2 years. It was such an unbelievable experience having my formative years where I did and being able to travel to many different countries so young. It definitely shaped me into the person I am today.
Over 10 years ago, I started my own business so I could focus on my art full time. (Three weeks into this incredible change, I met my husband, so I definitely think it was the right move!) I love that I'm still able to work with people and their 'at home' or work families, but I am also able to travel and specialize in corporate events, weddings, music/concert photography my other passions. (What can I say, I have a lot of things I adore!! :) I'm so happy I get to do what I love every single day and have been so fortunate with the clientele I've work with, many who have become life-long friends.
I truly want my pictures to make people feel something. It is my genuine intention for you to want to look at a picture for much longer than the second it took when it actually happened… to honor the truth of that moment.
Please contact me for details on how I can help you capture your special event.
